In this study, it was aimed to examine the distance education experiences of the students of the faculty of sports sciences during the epidemic process. The research was carried out within the scope of case study design, which is one of the qualitative research approaches. While determining the participants, the criterion sampling technique, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. In this context, 19 students from the faculty of sports sciences who experienced the distance education process were included in the research. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews. Content analysis technique was used to analyse the data. The findings are discussed under the themes of advantages, disadvantages of the process and perspectives on distance education. It has been determined that there are factors such as distance education saving both time and economy, easy access to lessons and continuation of lessons during the epidemic in experiencing the process as an advantage. As a disadvantage, it has been determined that the participants who are studying in an applied field are given the practice courses remotely and there is no mutual interaction environment. According to the results of the research, it is important to carry out the process of creating a field-specific distance education application guide and the necessary distance education models in order not to adversely affect the practice courses, considering the possibility of recurrence of epidemics and similar situations in the future. In addition, make-up programs should be planned by the faculties for the practice courses that cannot be held in this period.
