Yeşil Lojistik Işığında Sürdürülebilir Spor Organizasyonları

Abstract

Bu çalışma, çevresel sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri doğrultusunda spor organizasyonlarının planlanması ve yürütülmesinde yeşil lojistiğin rolünü kapsamlı bir şekilde incelemektedir. Spor organizasyonları, büyük katılımcı kitleleri, yoğun ulaşım faaliyetleri ve yüksek enerji tüketimli altyapı gereksinimleri nedeniyle çevresel etkileri yüksek olan etkinlikler arasında yer almaktadır. Bu nedenle, çevresel sürdürülebilirlik anlayışının spor alanında benimsenmesi ve yaygınlaştırılması, ekolojik dengenin korunması açısından kritik önem taşımaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle lojistik kavramı tanımlanmakta, ardından çevresel duyarlılığı temel alan yeşil lojistik yaklaşımı ele alınmaktadır. Yeşil lojistik; taşımacılık, depolama, envanter yönetimi ve paketleme gibi temel lojistik süreçlerin çevresel etkilerini azaltmayı amaçlayan bir yaklaşımdır. Spor organizasyonları bağlamında yeşil taşımacılık uygulamaları, katılımcıların toplu taşıma sistemlerine yönlendirilmesi, bisiklet kullanımının teşvik edilmesi ve elektrikli araç altyapılarının oluşturulması gibi stratejilerle hayata geçirilmektedir. Ayrıca, enerji verimliliği yüksek tesislerin kullanımı, güneş ve rüzgâr enerjisi gibi yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının tercih edilmesi ve doğa dostu ambalaj malzemelerinin kullanımı da yeşil depolama çözümleri kapsamında değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışma, bilgi eksikliği, deneyim yetersizliği, teknolojik altyapı sorunları ve yüksek maliyet gibi yeşil lojistik uygulamalarının önündeki temel zorluklara da dikkat çekmektedir. Sonuç olarak, çevresel etkileri en aza indirilmiş sürdürülebilir spor organizasyonlarının başarısı, yeşil lojistik ilkelerinin tüm planlama ve uygulama süreçlerine etkin bir şekilde entegre edilmesine bağlıdır. Bu entegrasyon; ulaşım, enerji kullanımı, atık yönetimi ve kaynak tüketimi gibi temel alanlarda çevre dostu uygulamaların bütüncül bir yaklaşımla hayata geçirilmesini ve tüm paydaşların sürdürülebilirlik hedefleri doğrultusunda iş birliği içinde hareket etmesini gerektirmektedir.

Sustainable Sports Organizations in the Light of Green Logistics

Abstract

This study comprehensively examines the role of green logistics in the planning and execution of sporting events in line with environmental sustainability principles. Sports organizations have a significant environmental impact due to their large audiences, intensive transportation activities, and high energy consumption. Therefore, adopting and disseminating the concept of environmental sustainability in sports is critical for preserving the ecological balance. First, the study defines the concept of logistics, before discussing the green logistics approach based on environmental sensitivity. Green logistics aims to reduce the environmental impact of basic logistics processes, such as transportation, storage, inventory management and packaging. In the context of sports organizations, green transportation practices are implemented through strategies such as directing participants to public transport, encouraging cycling and establishing electric vehicle infrastructure. Additionally, energy-efficient facilities, renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, and environmentally friendly packaging materials are evaluated within the scope of green storage solutions. The study also highlights the fundamental challenges of green logistics practices, including a lack of knowledge and experience, technological infrastructure issues, and high costs. The success of sustainable sports organizations that minimize their environmental impact depends on effectively integrating green logistics principles into all planning and implementation processes. This requires environmentally friendly practices to be implemented in key areas such as transportation, energy use, waste management and resource consumption, taking a holistic approach and ensuring the cooperation of all stakeholders in line with sustainability goals.
