Abstract
Bu araştırma, 1998-2001 yılları arasında Türkiye’nin başkenti Ankara ili civarında yapılan arazi çalışmaları sonucunda elde edilen 683 örneğe dayanmaktadır. Çalışma sonucunda 4 cinse ait (Vespa, Vespula, Dolichovespula, Polistes ) 9 tür ve 1 alt tür; Vespa orientalis Linnaeus, 1771, Vespula (Paravespula) germanica (Fabricius, 1793), Vespula (Paravespula) vulgaris (Linnaeus, 1758), Dolichovespula (Metavespula) slyvestris (Scopoli, 1763), Polistes (s.str.) gallicus (Linnaeus, 1767), Polistes (s.str.) nimpha (Christ, 1791), Polistes (s.str.) associus Kohl, 1898, Polistes (s.str.) biglumis alpium Blüthgen, 1957, Polistes (s.str.) dominulus (Christ, 1791) saptanmıştır. Bunlardan; Polistes (s.str.) associus ve Polistes (s.str.) biglumus alpium Ankara Faunası için yeni kayıttır. Bu çalışmada ayrıca türlerin habitatları, besin tercihleri, sıcaklık ve nem ilişkileri, gün içinde aktif oldukları periyodlar gibi ekolojik gözleme dayalı bilgiler de verilmiştir.

Abstract
This research is based on 683 specimens find at the end of land studies about Ankara province, the capital of Turkey, during the years 1998-2001. at the end of this study 9 species and 1 subspecies belonging to the 4 genus (Vespa, Vespula, Dolichovespula, Polistes); Vespa orientalis Linnaeus, 1771, Vespula (Paravespula) germanica (Fabricius, 1793), Vespula (Paravespula) vulgaris (Linnaeus, 1758) Dolichovespula (Metavespula) slyvestris (Scopoli, 1763), Polistes (s.str.) gallicus (Linnaeus,1767), Polistes (s.str.) nimpha (Christ, 1791), Polistes (s.str.) associus Kohl, 1898, Polistes (s.str.) biglumis alpium Blüthgen, 1957, Polistes (s.str.) dominulus (Christ, 1791) were determineted. From these; Polistes (s.str.) associus and Polistes (s.str.) biglumus alpium are new records for Ankara Fauna. In this study also, some knowledge related with ecological observations of species such as; habitats, preferences of nutriment, relation with temperature and humudity, period of beeing active in a day were given.

When the Faculty of Letters and Sciences was separated into the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Letters with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2008/4344 published in the Official Gazette dated 3 December 2008 and numbered 27073, it has been published as "Selcuk University Journal of Science Faculty" between 2009-2025.
