As a result of the study carried out from 2015 to 2018 aimed to find out
aphid fauna of Malatya Province that was located in the Eastern Region and
Adıyaman ve Şanlıurfa Provinces located in South Eastern region of Turkey, 222
aphid species were determined from study area. 45 of these identified species
were new records, there was 9 % contribution and number of the aphid species in
Turkey aphid fauna increased to 550. Aphid species were sampled on about 125
host plant species. Determined aphid species belongs to 2 family, 11 subfamily,
13 tribe, 67 genera and Aphis has the
highest species number with 31 and Macrosiphini has the highest number of
genera with 28. Findings of the conducted study is the first detailed study in
refered area and evaluated in the aspects of ecological, faunistic and
biodiversity.
