The species of Morchella genus
can not be collected from nature in every period of the year. Therefore, obtain
to this type is not always possible. The fact that the species of the genus is
nutritionally tasty makes it very valuable in our country and in the world. In
Turkey, it was determined 25 species belonging to the genus of Morchella according to the literature to
date. In this study, Morchella steppicola
Zerova, which was collected from Kırşehir Province during the field study in
March 2018, was identified, and that this fungus, was in the red list for world
mushrooms, was detected from a different locality from Turkey for the second
time.
Morchella cinsi mantarlar
yılın her dönemi doğadan toplanamamaktadır. Bu nedenle bu türe erişim her zaman
mümkün olmamaktadır. Bu elde etme zorluğu ile cinsin türlerinin besinsel açıdan
lezzetli olması onları ülkemizde ve dünyada oldukça değerli kılmaktadır. Türkiye’de
bugüne kadar Morchella cinsine ait 25
tür yapılan literatür çalışmasında tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Kırşehir
İl’inden 2018 yılı mart ayında yapılan arazi çalışmaları sırasında toplanan
mantar örneklerinin Morchella steppicola
Zerova olduğu teşhis edilmiş ve dünya mikotası için kırmızı listede olan bu
mantar Türkiye’den ikinci kez farklı bir lokaliteden tespit edilmiştir.

It was first published in 1981 as "S.Ü. Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Dergisi" and was published under this name until 1984 (Number 1-4).
In 1984, its name was changed to "S.Ü. Fen-Edeb. Fak. Fen Dergisi" and it was published under this name as of the 5th issue.
When the Faculty of Letters and Sciences was separated into the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Letters with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2008/4344 published in the Official Gazette dated 3 December 2008 and numbered 27073, it has been published as "Selcuk University Journal of Science Faculty" since 2009.
