Suplier Selection Applications: A Review from Information and Communication Technologies Perspective

Öz

Supplier selection process, which is gaining
increasingly strategic importance in supply chain management, is treated as a
multi-criteria decision-making problem inherently containing multiple
conflicting, objective as well as subjective criteria. Being one of the most
important sectors in this era, information and communications (ICT) sector acts
as the leverage for other sectors. In this study, a survey is performed on the
supplier selection applications from different sectors for the problem of
supplier selection for the companies providing goods and services to ICT sector.
Because of the contemporary nature of the ICT sector, the study mainly focused on
resources after year 2000.  Applied
methods and selection criteria existing in extant literature are evaluated comparatively
on a sectoral basis, and models and set of criteria that can be applicable to
ICT sector are revealed.  This study
contributes to the literature by its focus on ICT and detailed analysis of the
existing methods and criteria sets, and sheds light to both ICT and other
technology-intensive sectors.

TEDARİKÇİ SEÇİMİ UYGULAMALARI: BİLGİ VE İLETİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ PERSPEKTİFLİ BİR LİTERATÜR TARAMASI

Öz

Tedarik zinciri yönetimi içerisinde gittikçe stratejik
önem kazanan tedarikçi seçim süreci; literatürde birbiriyle çatışan birden
fazla objektif ve subjektif  kriteri
bünyesinde barındıran bir çok kriterli karar alma problemi olarak ele
alınmaktadır.  Bu çalışmada, çağımızın en
önemli sektörlerinden birisi olan ve diğer sektörler için kaldıraç görevi gören
bilgi iletişim teknolojileri (BİT) alanında faaliyet gösteren işletmelere ürün
ve hizmet sağlayan tedarikçilerin seçimi konusu için, içerisinde seçim
uygulamaları bulunan farklı sektörlerde yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. BİT
sektörünün güncel bir alan olması nedeniyle, 2000 yılından sonra yapılan çalışmalara
odaklanılmıştır. Uygulanan yöntemler ve seçim kriterleri sektörel bazda ve karşılaştırmalı
olarak değerlendirilerek BİT alanında kullanılabilecek kriter kümesi ve modeller
ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma, BİT odaklı olması ve mevcut metotlar ile kriter setlerinin
detaylı analiziyle literatüre katkıda bulunur ve  bu anlamda hem BİT, hem de diğer teknoloji
sektörlerine ışık tutar niteliktedir.
