Sinop University Journal of Sports Research

Sinop University Journal of Sports Science Research is a peer-reviewed journal published biannually (May and November) both in print and electronically in Turkish and English. In addition to international indexes, it is indexed in TR Dizin. Authors must comply with the article template provided within the framework of the writing guidelines determined by the editorial board. The journal prioritizes original research articles prepared in the field of Sports Sciences (Movement and Training Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Sports Management, Recreation, and Athlete Health), and academic studies at the graduate level are also taken into evaluation. In all articles that require Ethical Committee approval, such as experimental, survey, or field studies conducted on human participants, the submission of an "Ethical Committee Approval Report" is mandatory.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an initial screening (secretariat and technical review) by the editor, followed by a review and evaluation process by at least two reviewers (double-blind peer review). Submitted articles must be written in accordance with the journal's writing principles (APA 7), and to ensure that the double-blind review process is not compromised, the manuscript file must not contain any identifying information such as the author's name, title, institution, or email address. Authors are deemed to have accepted that they will not take into account any external reviewer suggestions made to our journal regarding their articles. Manuscripts that violate the journal's writing rules or do not comply with sports sciences terminology are returned to the author for revision before being sent to the reviewers. If the authors do not complete the required revisions by the end of the deadlines specified by the editors, the evaluation process may be terminated by the journal management. In accordance with the principles of academic integrity, all manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened using iThenticate / Turnitin plagiarism detection software.
