Müzik belli bir amaç ve yöntemle, belli bir güzellik anlayışına göre birleştirilmişseslerden oluşan estetik bir bütündür. Müzik eğitimi ise bireye kendi yaşantısıyoluyla amaçlıolarak belirli davranışlarıkazandırma ya da bireyin müziksel davranışında kendi yaşantısıyoluyla amaçlıolarak belirli değişiklikler oluşturmasısürecidir. Eğitim; öğretim yolu ile bireylere verilir. Eğitim ve öğretime eşgüdümlü olarak sanat eğitimi ve sanat eğitiminin içinde müzik eğitimi, bireyin düşünme yetisi ve duyu algılarının gelişimini sağlar. Bu bağlamda sanat, dolayısıyla sanatın bir parçasıolan müzik, kişilerin eğitiminde son derece önemlidir. Çocukların eğitiminde okul ve öğretmen dışındaki en önemli etken ailedir. Hatta aile kurumu içerisinde de anne en önemli faktör olarak gösterilebilir. Müzik eğitiminde aile desteği önemli olduğundan aileleri çocukların müziksel ilgi ve durumlarıyla ilgili bilinçlendirmek de eğitimcilerin üzerine düşen görevlerdendir. Araştırmalar göstermektedir ki müzik eğitimi çocuğun gelişimini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Bunun oluşturulabilmesi de ailelerin müzik eğitimine olumlu bakışaçılarına sahip olmasınıgerektirir. Bu yüzden annenin müzik eğitimine bakışaçısıaraştırmanın problemini oluşturmaktadır. Okulöncesi eğitim kurumlarında eğitim alan çocukların annelerinin müzik eğitimi ile ilgili düşüncelerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıve okulöncesi dönemde çocukların müziksel gelişiminde annenin rolünün önemine değinilmesi, bu araştırmanın amacınıoluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Afyonkarahisar ve Konya il merkezindeki okulöncesi eğitim kurumlarında eğitim alan çocukların anneleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma örneklemini Afyonkarahisar il örneğindeki rasgele seçilen 100 anne ile Konya il örneğindeki 100 anne olmak üzere toplam 200 anne oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracıolarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Annelere 9 tanesi demografik olmak üzere toplam 24 soru sorulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler SPSS de uygun görülen istatistiksel işlemlere tabi tutularak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre; okulöncesi dönemde, annelerin çoğunluğu %89.2 çocuklarının müzik yeteneğinin ortaya çıkarılmasınıve geliştirilmesini, ayrıca müzik eğitiminin diğer gelişim alanlarına katkısıolduğunu Konya’da %59, Afyon’da %41 düşünmektedirler. Genel olarak annelerin, çocuklarının öğreniminde müzik eğitiminin kullanılmasının gerekliliği hakkındaki düşünceleri olumlu yönde çıkmıştır.
Music is an aesthetic unity that consists of sounds which are combined according to a certain sense of beauty through a certain objective and method. Music education is the process of making individuals gains certain behaviors deliberately through their own ways of life, or making certain changes deliberately in the musical behavior of the individuals through their own ways of life. Education is given to individuals by means of teaching. Art education coordinated with education and teaching, and music education within art education contribute to the development of thinking ability and sensory perceptions of individuals. Music is an inevitable fact in one’s life and also an important dimension that child interacts within his/her natural environment. Learning is a process that changes the behaviors of an individual. Aim of music education is to provide enhancements in behaviors of a child by making them adequately understand this important dimension of art. It is admitted that early childhood is fundamental period in human life.Preschool, the fastest and most sensitive to human life as the period spent can be expressed, accordingly, of course, after the birth, life, the first years of education received, as long as the individual lives on the important achievements. There are effects. Period of 0-6 years of age, expressed as a preschool, an individual's learning is most intense, habits and capabilities as quickly as possible developed and shaped the period.Such has an important place in the life of the individual preschool period is the best way for the development of multi-faceted assessment of the individual, but a quality preschool education may be possible. According to the fact that is thoroughly investigated and verified by the psychologist, personality formed in the adulthood is based on the one’s early childhood. It is required in the early childhood period some developmental skills have been achieved in order to socialize with people, lead a happy, healthy and successful life.Every child hears the first few months of interest from the music. This interest, his mother said, begins with a lullaby, growing environment, radio, television that, whether at home-school-on the street, learn the music is fed said. To sing, play instruments, dance, make a variety of events such as the motions, because it helps the child's physical and psychomotor development, as evidenced by the research. Children growing up with good music from an early age, later in their lives, even if they are not a musician, a good understanding of music, good music and loves to be adults who choose to. In the early ages of human life, cognitive, physical and emotional developments of the child are generally affected by parents in the first place. Family, except for school and teacher, is the most important factor regarding the education of children. We can even show mother as the most important factor within the family environment.A literature review has been done in this field to come up with a new approach. In the research and publications on child development, the topic of “self ”development has begun to become dominant in recent times; so importance of artistic activities in this field has been open to debate. In this sense, the art of music has begun to be regarded as important in child education. As family support is crucial in music education, making families conscious of musical interest and situation of their children is one of the responsibilities of educators. Families have a major role in Suzuki Method, which is one of the methods in Music Education. Especially, it is expected in this method that families attend the classes and take notes and participate in the activities with their children. The importance of mother in Suzuki Method is reported as follows: “Please teach mothers to read music so that they can help their children learn new pieces. The child should listen often to the record, and if there are difficult passages, the mother gives assistance”. Studies report that music education affects child development positively. And this calls for families to have a positive point of view on music education. For that reason, mother’s point of view on music education is the research question of our study. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate opinions of the mothers on musical education, whose children receive education at pre-school education institutions, and also to mention the important role of mother in musical development of children in pre-school period. 100 mothers in the sample of Afyonkarahisar province and 100 mothers in the sample of Konya province, 200 mothers in total, formed the study group. The questionnaire form prepared by the researchers was used as data collecting tool in the study. The mothers were asked 24 questions including 9 demographic questions. The collected data are analyzed by implementing the appropriate statistical procedures in SPSS. Mothers' age, socio-economic and educational status to determine whether there is a significant difference according to the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used. As a result, almost all mothers responding to the survey, they were responding to a preschool music education is necessary. Mothers, children need to think about the findings regarding the use of education, music education, was positively than expected. The result of this study, believed to affect positively the ideas of development areas of music education for children has been reached. As a result, the majority of mothers 89.2% think that the children’s musical skills should define and the children’s musical skills should developed. On the other hand, the mothers think that musical education developed children’s other skills 59% in Konya, 41% in Afyon . The most of the mothers think positively about the requirement of music education for child education
