MONETARY POLICIES IN TURKEY ON THE EFFECT OF BANKS PROFITABILITY
Abstract
This study, conducted by the Central Bank of Turkey 1990-2010 period, taking into
account the effects of monetary policy on banks' profitability has been analyzed. In the
analysis, the rediscount rate, bank deposit interest rate, liquidity ratio and the required reserve
ratio is taken into account as an explanatory variable, the unit root test, co-integration tests,
Granger causality test and regression test were used.
According to the results of analysis of Foundations Bank, Albaraka Turk with the real rate
of return of the real rate of return with the required reserve ratio and liquidity ratio is the
relationship between the one-way causality has been identified. The results of regression
analysis, the model was significant for not only reveals the Foundations Bank. Accordingly,
the required reserve ratio of only positively affect the profitability of Foundations Bank.
