Istanbul Nisantasi University "SUSTAINERA - Scientific Perspectives on Sustainable Development: Theory and Practice" Journal is published twice a year (in August and December).

The journal's publication languages are Turkish and English. However, studies written in other languages may also be published with the approval of the Editorial Board.

Submitted studies undergo evaluation by at least two referees in the relevant field. Editors and referees assess the articles in terms of literary and scientific merit. Authors must comply with the correction suggestions provided by referees and editors. Approval from two referees is required for acceptance of the study. The journal reserves the right to revise, publish, or reject submitted drafts.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are not returned, whether published or not. The publication rights of published articles belong to the Istanbul Nisantasi University "Scientific Perspectives on Sustainable Development: Theory and Practice" Journal. No royalties are paid to authors.

Manuscripts and articles must be uploaded to the Dergipark system in Microsoft Word format. All evaluation processes will be conducted through the Dergipark system, and authors must follow updates within this platform. Quotations cannot be made without citing the source. Sources that are not referenced in the text cannot be added to the References section.
When citing sources, the in-text citation (APA) method should be used. In other words, the sources used are indicated in parentheses in the main text with the author's surname, year of publication and page numbers: (Surname, Year of publication: Page number).
If an explanation is required regarding the content or any subject, their footnotes should be given below the page. These footnotes numbered in the text should be given in numerical order below the page. The in-text reference method (APA) is also used in such footnotes that will be given with an explanation.
A direct quotation from a source is shown in double quotation marks in the text.
When indicating a reference, if the author's name is not mentioned in the text, the author's surname and the year of publication of the source are stated in parentheses: (Wallerstein, 2000).
If there is a specific page, the page number is also written in addition to the surname and publication date: (Foucault, 1999: 13).
If the author's name is mentioned in the text, only the year of publication of the source and the page number are written in parentheses: (1997: 42).
When citing, non-consecutive pages are indicated by separating them with commas: (Beck, 1999: 32, 54 and 62). Consecutive pages are indicated as follows: (Berman, 2001: 34-39 and 43-47).
In sources with two authors, both authors' surnames are indicated: (Hardt and Negri, 2001: 24).
In sources with more than two authors, the expression "et al." is used: (Huisman et al., 2002).
If more than one work by the same author published in the same year is used, letters such as a, b, c are added at the end of the publication year to indicate the distinction: (Zizek, 1991a), (Zizek, 1991b), etc.
If more than one source on the same subject is to be cited, the sources are separated from each other by semicolons: (Habermas, 2002: 27; King, 1991: 19).
If an institution is to be cited, it should be given in the text with an abbreviation: (DPT, 1989: 145). The explanation about the abbreviation should be given at the bottom of the page when the reference is given for the first time.
