Bu çalışmada 1272 yılında Kırşehir yöresindeki Arapkir’de doğan Aşık Paşa elealınmıştır. Baba İlyas‘ın oğlu Muhlis Paşa’nın oğludur. Aşık Paşa babasının vasiyetiüzerine Şeyh Osman tarafından en iyi şekilde yetiştirilmiş, zahirî ve bâtinî ilimleriöğrenmiştir. Devrinin önde gelen bilginlerindendir. 3 Kasım 1332 tarihinde vefat etmişolup, türbesi Kırşehir’dedir.Türk diline çok büyük önem verir ve devlet için dilin önemini eserlerindevurgular. Onun en büyük eseri 10613 beyitten meydana gelen Gârib-name’dir. Fâkrname,Vasf-ı Hâl, Hikâye ve Kimya Risalesi gibi eserlerinin yanında bazı küçük çaptaeserleri de vardır.
The main concern of this study is Aşık Pasha who was born in 1272 in Arapkir of Kırşehir Region. He is the son of Muhlis Pasha the son of Baba İlyas. Due to his father’s wish and will, he was well educated by Şeyh Osman and he had a good knowledge of physical and spiritual sciences.
He was the famous scientist of his age. He died in 1332, and his tomb is in
Kırşehir.
He gave enormous importance to Turkish language and emphasized the
importance of language for the state in his works. His most significant work is Garibnâme
which consists of 10613 couplets. Besides his works such as Fakr-nâme, Vasf-I
Hâl, Hikâye and Kimya Risalesi, he has some other minor studies.
