Abstract

Müslümanların İstanbul’u fetih arzuları çok erken tarihlerde başlamıştır. Bazıkaynaklar, Emevîlerle Abbasîlerin H.34/655-H.169/785 tarihleri arasında İstanbul’abeş sefer düzenlediklerini, Osmanlıların ise, İstanbul’u yedi kere muhasara ettiktensonra fethettiklerini yazmaktadırlar. Fatih şehri fethettikten sonra doğruca Ayasofya’yagitmiş ve burasını camiye çevirmiştir.
