Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Türkiye kapsamında en yüksek elma üretim potansiyeline sahip illerimizden biri olan Karaman ve çevresinde, elma depolaması
yapılan mevcut soğuk hava depolarının varlığı ve genel durumu incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda söz konusu tesislerin; fiziki yapısı, depolanan ürün
çeşidi, çalışma kapasitesi, işletme durumu, personel durumu, depolama süresi, depolamada gösterilen başarı, hasat sonrası uygulamaların ve ek
ünitelerin kullanımı gibi konuları içeren 25 sorudan oluşan bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır.
Elde edilen sonuçlar ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiş ayrıca bölgedeki depoların çalışma biçimleri değerlendirilerek yörede çok büyük öneme sahip
olan elmanın, daha uzun süre kaliteli biçimde muhafaza edilebilmesi ve pazarlanabilmesi için çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur. Bunun yanında bölge
soğuk hava tesislerinin sorunları irdelenerek günümüz koşullarına uygun çözüm önerilerine yer verilmiştir

Abstract
In this research, the substance and general structure of apple cold stores in Karaman, one of the city that has the biggest potential of apple production was examined. In this context; a survey study including 25 questions encloses subjects such as physical structure, species that are stored, working capacity, structure of company, structure of personnel, storage period, success in storage, the usage of postharvest treatments and joint units was done. The results were investigated particularly; besides working systems were assessed. Suggestions were submitted for prolonging the storage period with keeping the quality for this crop that is so important for the region with assessing the working systems of cold stores in the region. Furthermore; the problems of cold stores in the region were considered thus the suggestions of current solutions were offered
