Tokat İlinde Yaygın Elma Çeşitlerinin Beslenme Durumunun Toprak ve Bitki Analizleri İle Değerlendirilmesi

Year 2009, Issue: 1 - Year: 2009 Issue: 1, 79 - 86, 01.02.2009

Abstract

Evaluation of Nutritional Status of Apple Varieties Grown in Tokat Province Using Soil and Plant Analysis

Year 2009, Issue: 1 - Year: 2009 Issue: 1, 79 - 86, 01.02.2009

Abstract

Considering the plant nutritional conditions has a great importance for balanced plant nutrition programme and sustainable soil fertility. In this study, the fertility status of apple gardens and nutritional problems of apple varieties in Tokat province, which are founded by common species like Starking Delicious, Golden Delicious, Amasya Misket, were investigated by using soil and plant analysis. For this purpose, soil samples that have been taken from 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm depthness from 40 apple gardens and leaf samples from the same points, which represent the features of Tokat district, were collected. According to the results, investigated soils were clay loam in texture, and they had no salinity problem. Lime contents of the soil samples were found generally at medium level, organic matter contents were found at insufficient and medium levels. It has been found that about 35% of the soil samples had insufficient exchangable potassium levels, however 74% of the samples had excess available phosphorus. It has been found that 36.25% and 75% of the investigated soils had insufficient amounts of zinc and manganese. In the leaf samples, nitrogen (67.5%), calcium (45%), potassium (80%), zinc (47.5%), cupper (35%) and manganese (42.5%) were found at insufficient levels. It was observed that zinc and manganese deficiencies were more common in Amasya Misket and Golden Delicious varieties. Considering the results of soil and leaf analyses together, significant correlations were found between some soil properties and leaf nutrient status
