Abstract

Zeytin suyun yetersiz olduğu Akdeniz iklim kuşağına uyum göstermiş olmasına rağmen, sulama ile bir dereceye kadar verimde artış
görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde yaygın olarak yetiştirilen Memecik zeytin çeşidinde farklı sulama düzeylerinin verim ve vejetatif gelişim
parametreleri üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, 2008 ve 2009 yıllarında Bornova Zeytincilik Araştırma Enstitüsü’nde damla sulama ile
sulanan Memecik zeytin plantasyonunda yedi farklı sulama düzeyine göre deneme oluşturulmuştur. Deneme konuları; susuz, 5 gün aralıklarla A sınıfı
buharlaşma kabından meydana gelen buharlaşma miktarının %25 (kpc:0.25), %50 (kpc:0.50), %75 (kpc:0.75), %100 (kpc:1.00) ve % 125’i (kpc:1.25)
olacak şekilde düzenlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, uygulanan bu farklı sulama düzeylerine bağlı olarak verimin ve vejetatif gelişim parametrelerinden
sürgün uzunluğu, sürgün çapı, sürgündeki somak sayısı, taç hacmi ve meyve tutum oranının önemli oranda değiştiği gözlenmiştir. İki yıllık veriler
ışığında, hem verim hem de su tasarrufu ve periyodisite açısından düşünüldüğünde S0.50 konusu önerilebilir.

Abstract

Although olive trees are resilient to Mediterranean climatic that water is insufficient, its yield has increased with irrigation up to a degree. In
this study, it was investigated the effects of different irrigation levels on the yield and vegetative growth parameters in Memecik olive variety that
is widely grown in Turkey. A field experiment with seven different irrigation levels was established in the Memecik olive plantation irrigated by
drip irrigation in Bornova Olive Research Institute in 2007 and 2008 irrigation season. The seven irrigation treatments with 5 days intervals were
implemented: a control treatment was irrigated with 100% field capacity, and other six ones were based on Class A pan factors that ranged from 0.0
(rain-fed) to 1.25 in increments of 0.25. As a result, yield and shoot length, shoot diameter, number of inflorescence at a shoot and canopy volume
from vegetative growth parameters varied significantly depending on different irrigation levels applied. According to two years research data, it can
be suggested that S0.50 should be applied in terms of both the yield and water savings and the periodicity.
