Bazı Turunçgil Genotiplerinin Yüksek pH Koşullarında Demir Kloroz Düzeyleri ile Fotosentez Aktivitelerinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Yüksek pH’lı koşullarda demir klorozuna duyarlı olarak bilinen turunçgillerde demir noksanlığı genç yapraklarda sararmalar şeklinde
ortaya çıkmaktadır. Genç yapraklarda meydana gelen bu sararmalar, fotosentez aktivitesinin düşmesine ve bitki büyümesinde azalmaya
neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Yerli üç yapraklı, Rubidoux üç yapraklı, SRA 952 Maroc turuncu, Tuzcu 31-31 turuncu ve Meksika
laymıgenotiplerinin yüksek pH’lı koşullarda demir klorozundan kaynaklanan renk açılmaları ile fotosentez aktiviteleri, iklim kontrollü
bitki büyüme odasında kum kültüründe belirlenmiştir.
Bu genotiplerde yapraklarda meydana gelen renk açılmaları SPAD metre, fotosentetik aktivite ise Florimetre ile belirlenmiştir.
Yüksek pH’ nın Yerli üç yapraklı ve Rubidoux üç yapraklıda sararmalar meydana getirdiği tespit edilmiştir. (-)Fe koşullarında en düşük
SPAD değeri Yerli üç yapraklı ve Rubidoux üç yapraklıda; en yüksek ise Tuzcu 31-31 turuncunun kontrol uygulamasında belirlenmiştir.
PSII aktivitesi ise (-) Fe uygulamalarında en düşük olarak Yerli üç yapraklı ve Rubidoux üç yapraklıda belirlenirken, kontrollerdeki PSII
aktivitesinin Tuzcu 31-31 turuncu ve Meksika laymında en yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.

Determining Iron Chlorosis Levels and Photosynthetic Activities of Some Citrus Genotypes on High pH Conditions

Abstract

Iron deficiency in citrus, which are plants known to be susceptible to iron chlorosis under high pH conditions, occurs on young leaves in the form of yellow discoloration. Those chlorosis in young leaves cause decreases in photosynthetic activity and plant growth. In this study iron chlorosis induced discoloration in leaves and photosynthetic activities of Local trifoliate, Rubidoux trifoliate, SRA 952 Maroc sour orange, Tuzcu 31 31 sour orange and Mexican lime grown in sand culture and climate controlled plant growth chamber were determined. Among those genotypes, discoloration and photosynthetic activity in leaves were determined with SPAD meter and Fluorimeter respectively. It was established that high pH caused chlorosis in Local and Rubidoux trifoliates. The lowest SPAD values were obtained from Local trifoliate and Rubidoux trifoliate under (-)Fe conditions. In the contrast, highest SPAD values were determined in control treatment of Tuzcu 31 31 sour orange. The lowest PSII activities were obtained in the leaves of Local trifoliate and Rubidoux under (-)Fe conditions and the highest were determined in Tuzcu 31 31 sour orange and Mexican lime
