Journal of the Institute for Sufi Studies

The Journal of the Institute for Sufi Studies of Uskudar University is focused on the thought, history and literature of Sufism, including research and articles about the philosophical, social, cultural, anthropological, and artistic aspects of these topics. The journal is a double-blind, peer-reviewed publication published twice a year in May and November, available in print and online. The journal’s languages are Turkish and English. 

The Journal of the Institute for Sufi Studies is open for article submissions throughout the year.

The Journal consists of two parts. First and the main part includes peer-reviewed scientific articles. In the second part, book reviews and essays or review articles are included based on the evaluation of the Editorial Board, without being subject to a blind peer-review process.

Our journal regards originality and novelty, which form the essence of scientific research, as fundamental components of its publication ethics. In line with this, supporting high-quality studies by Master’s and Ph.D. researchers in our field is adopted as one of its publication policies.
