She was born in Istanbul and completed her secondary education at Istanbul Kâzım Karabekir Imam-Hatip High School. In 2012, she graduated as the top student from the Faculty of Theology at Bursa Uludağ University. In the same year, she traveled to Egypt to enhance her proficiency in Arabic during an intensive summer language program.
In 2015, she completed her master’s thesis at Uludağ University Institute of Social Sciences, titled “ Transcription and Analytical Study of the Ottoman Turkish Translation of Mevlânā Khwāja Naʿīmullāh Bahrāyījī’s Maʿmūlāt-i Mazhariyya”. That same year, she was awarded the TUBITAK Doctoral Scholarship for outstanding graduate students.
In 2022, she earned her Ph.D. from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Institute of Graduate Studies with a dissertation entitled “Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī and His Sufi Thought.”
She is proficient in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish, has a strong command of English, and an intermediate knowledge of Persian. She currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Sufism at the Faculty of Theology, Aydın Adnan Menderes University.

1971’de Bandırma’da doğdu. 1993’te Marmara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. Marmara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde “İbn Arabî Öncesi Tasavvufta Halvet ve Uzlet” başlıklı yüksek lisansını 1995’te, “Tasavvufta Hâcegân Ekolü XII.-XVII. yüzyıllar" başlıklı doktorasını 2002’de tamamladı. 2006’da doçent, 2012’de profesör oldu. Hâlen Marmara Ün. İlahiyat Fakültesi tasavvuf anabilim dalında öğretim üyesi olarak görevini sürdürmektedir. Osmanlı, Orta Asya ve Hindistan tasavvufu üzerine çalışmaları bulunan Necdet Tosun, İngilizce, Arapça ve Farsça bilmekte olup belli başlı telif eserleri şunlardır: Bahaeddin Nakşbend: Hayatı, Görüşleri, Tarikatı, İstanbul 2002; İmâm-ı Rabbânî Ahmed Sirhindî: Hayatı Eserleri Tasavvufî Görüşleri, İstanbul 2005; Zikir ve Tefekkür, İstanbul 2010; Türkistan Dervişlerinden Yâdigar (Orta Asya Türkçesiyle Yazılmış Tasavvufî Eserler), İstanbul 2011; Derviş Keşkülü, İstanbul 2012; İrfan Bahçesi, İstanbul 2014; Ahmed Yesevi, Ankara 2015. Bunların dışında çok sayıda kitap tercüme etmiş ve bilimsel makale kaleme almıştır.

1976 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu.
İlk Orta ve Lise tahsilini İstanbul’da tamamladı. Lisans eğitimini Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde (2000), Yüksek Lisansını 2002 yılında, doktorasını 2007 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Temel İslam Bilimleri (Tasavvuf) anabilim dalında tamamladı. 2002 yılında Ürdün’de 1 yıl süreyle alanıyla ilgili araştırmalarda bulundu. 2009 senesinde 6 ay ve 2010 senesinde 3 ay süreyle Kanada’da Toronto Üniversitesi’nde alanıyla ilgili araştırmalarda bulundu. 2011-2013 Yılı Kırgızistan Oş Devlet Üniversitesi’ne misafir öğretim üyesi olarak görevlendirildi. Halen Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde Tasavvuf Anabilim Dalında Öğretim Üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

He was born in 1971 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in the family of Dedehan Hasan, the nightingale of the Turkic world, a famous singer, poet and politician. In 1994, he graduated from the Faculty of Uzbek Philology of Taşkent Devlet University (today Mirza Uluğbey Uzbekistan Milli Üniversitesi). In 1995, he started working at the Ali Shir Nevai Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 1999, Prof. Dr. Under the supervision of İbrahim Hakkul, he gave his doctorate (PhD) thesis on "Sultan Ahmed Hazini's work "Cevahir ul-ebrar min emwac il-bihar" and its scientific-historical value in Yesevit studies." In 2001-2004, he received post-doctoral training at the same institution, and in 2004, he was awarded the Young Academician of the Year award by the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his scientific work. In 2011, he was awarded the title of Docent by the Uzbekistan Cumhuriyeti Yüksek Atestasyon Commission. In 2017, the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Sciences for the essay on "Resources related to Yesevism and the review of "Divan-ı Hikmet".
While working as a lecturer at Karabük University in 2015-2020, he attended courses such as Research Techniques, Turkish Mythology, Poetry Analysis, Folk Literature, Text Commentary, Turkish Sufism Literature, Introduction to Old Turkish Literature, Sufism Literature, Çağatay Literature, Uzbek Literature, Uzbek Turkish Texts, Çağatayca, Yesevi Hikmet School, Turkish National Awakening Literature. In 2018, he was appointed as a Professor at Karabük University and served as the Assistant Director of the Cengiz Aytmatov Türk Dünyası Application and Research Center under the Rectorship of Karabük University (2018-2020). He entered the "Turkish literature" courses at the Turkology Faculty of Tashkent Devlet Doğu Bilimleri Üniversitesi (2021-2022). As of 2023, Mirza Uluğbey is enrolled in the Faculty of Uzbek Philology of the National University of Uzbekistan, taking courses such as "Mythology and Literature", "Turkish Literature", "History of Çağatay Edebiyatı Tarihi". He advised doctoral theses (5 units) and master's degree (25 units) in universities. He worked on scientific projects in Europe (Sephis), Turkey (supported by higher education institutions) and Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Uzbekistan International Islamic Academy, Uzbekistan Islamic Civilization Center). He participated in many international and national summits, symposiums, congresses and workshops organized in Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, gave speeches, gave conferences and seminars. Türk Dil Kurumunda, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Journal of Türk Culture and Hacı Bektaş Veli Research Journal, Humanities and Social Sciences Research, Sabahattin Zaim University Sufism Science Research Journal, Karabük University Karabük Türkoloji International Journal, Tereke International Humanities and Arts Journal, member of the jury and editorial board, member of the Jury Board of the National University of Uzbekistan, Alişir Nevai Taşkent Devlet Uzbek Language and Literature University Seminar Board Member, Biruni Sharkshinlık is a member of the Yazmalar Enstitüsü Yazmalar İnceleme Komisyonu. He contributed to the development of relations between Turkey-Uzbekistan in the fields of science, education and culture, the promotion of Turkey in Uzbekistan, the publication of many Turkish books, works and films translated into Uzbek Turkish. In Istanbul, he founded the Association for the Development of Friendship with Uzbekistan, he tried to become a cultural bridge between the two countries, to invite writers, thinkers and academics from Uzbekistan to come to Turkey and give seminars, to transfer the developments in Turkey to Uzbekistan, to promote Turkey. He is currently working at the National University of Uzbekistan. He is married and has three children. In addition to his mother tongue, he knows Turkish and Russian.
