TÜRKİYE’NİN DENİZ YOLU İHRACATINI ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER

Abstract

Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK, 2020)’nun verilerine göre, Türkiye’nin toplam ihracatının %59’u, toplam ithalatının ise %52’si deniz yolu ile yapılmaktadır. Söz konusu bu oranlar deniz yolu ticaretinin Türkiye ekonomisi için önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’nin deniz yolu ihracatını etkileyen faktörleri incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda yapılan çalışmanın analizinde; Türkiye’nin deniz yolu ile gerçekleştirdiği toplam ihracatı, konteyner elleçleme miktarı, reel döviz kuru, petrol fiyatları, Baltık Kuru Yük Endeksi (Baltic Dry Index- BDI), sanayi üretim endeksi ve kukla değişken olarak 2016 ve 2019 yılındaki kırılmalar kullanılmıştır. 2013-2020 dönemine ait aylık verilerin kullanıldığı çalışmada, yapısal kırılmalı FMOLS (Tamamen Değiştirilmiş Sıradan En Küçük Kareler- Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square) yöntemi ile ekonometrik tahminler yapılmıştır. FMOLS analiz sonuçlarına göre; konteyner elleçleme miktarı, sanayi üretim endeksi ve petrol fiyatları değişkenleri deniz yolu ihracatını uzun dönemde pozitif ve anlamlı etkilerken reel döviz kuru ve Baltık Kuru Yük Endeksi (BDI) değişkenlerinin negatif ve anlamlı yönde etkilerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kukla değişkenlerin etkisinin ise anlamsız olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
