Analysis of Postgraduate Studies on Learning Disability in Preschool Period
Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the postgraduate studies on learning disability in the preschool period in Turkey. In the study, document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The sampling was determined based on the criteria that the studies were conducted only in the pre-school period, there was no interval between the years of the study, and the full texts of the studies were included in YÖKTEZ. Sampling was consisted of 9 postgraduate studies that they were conducted in the pre-school period. Results show that the most postgraduate studies delving learning disability were conducted at the Master level and quantitative methods were preferred as a research design. The studies were mostly conducted in educational sciences institutes and the majority of the participants were children. It has been seen that the first research was completed in 2005 on the subject and there was one study in the years of 2010, 2012, 2017 and 2022. There were two graduate level study regarding to learning disability in the years of 2018 and 2019. It can be said that learning disability studies in preschool age needs more attention.
