In this study examined that site of airport establishment place and quality of land use that is active in Turkey. In the survey, the data of the 1990 and 2012 data produced by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs of the CORINE Land Cover Project, Google Earthpro 4 Landsat image, data from airports taken from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data and maps which is generated using ArcGIS Desktop10 are the main sources. The inspection revealed that there were 32 airports built on agricultural areas. It is mean 60 % of total 55 airport in Turkey. The land located in the periphery of these airports established on the agricultural field can to be used for various reasons for non-agricultural purposes. Selected three airport, between 1984 to 2018 and in 10-year period, examined to satellite images and mapped. According to this, over time, settlements in their surroundings came to the airport and surrounded it. This is a negative situation both in the agricultural areas and at the airport. As a result, it is necessary to plan these investments, which have great economic value, in a sustainable manner very attentive.
