İrkilme Epilepsisi

Abstract

İrkilme epilepsisi ani, beklenmedik ses veya somatosensoriyel uyarı ile tetiklenen nöbetlerle karakterizedir. Nöbetler genellikle jeneralize tonik ve semptomatiktir. Farklı hastalıklarla birliktelik olabilir ancak en sık perinatal hipoksi ile birliktedir. Kafa travması sonrasında irkilme epilepsisi çocuklarda nadiren bildirilmektedir. Biz de geçirdiği kafa travması sonrasında ani ses ile uyarılan nöbetleri gelişen bir çocuk hastayı sunduk.

Startle Epilepsy

Abstract

Startle epilepsy is characterized by seizures triggered by unexpected sudden sounds or somatosensory stimuli. Seziures are usually generalized tonic and symptomatic. It may be associated with various disorders but the most common is perinatal hypoxia. Startle epilepsy has been reported rarely after head injuries in children. We present a child who had seizures triggered by sudden sounds after head injuries
