Kürdan Yutulmasına İkincil Gelişen Sigmoid Perforasyonu: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Yabancı cisim yutulması çocukluk çağında sık görülen bir durumdur. Yabancı cisim yutmaları için tanımlanan hasta izlem uygulamaları cismin radyoopak olması üzerine kurulmuştur. Kürdan gibi radyolüsen olan batıcı nitelikteki yabancı cisim yutmalarında ise yüksek oranda komplikasyon görülmektedir. Kürdan yutmaya bağlı sigmoid kolon perforasyonu olgumuzda primer onarım ile tedavi edilmiştir. Bu tür yabancı cisimleri yutan olguların yakından izlenmeleri, şüphelenilen durumlarda ultrasonografi tetkiki ile yabancı cismin araştırılması uygundur.

PERFORATION OF THE SIGMOID COLON BY A INGESTED TOOTHPICK: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Ingestion of foreign bodies may be encountered frequently in childhood, The management of radioopaque foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract is standardized. Long, sharp, slender, hard, indigestible objects such as radiolucent toothpicks are dangerous and may lead to potentially life-threatening complications. We report a case of sigmoid perforation caused by a toothpick that managed with primary sutures. Patients with ingested toothpick must be followed-up closely. If there are any suspicions, Sonographic investigation of a toothpick must be considered
