Çocuklarda Temel Mekanik Ventilasyon

Year 2017, Volume: 11 Issue: 4, 289 - 298, 01.12.2017

Abstract

Basic Mechanical Ventilation in Children

Year 2017, Volume: 11 Issue: 4, 289 - 298, 01.12.2017

Abstract

Respiratory diseases and respiratory failure are among the leading causes of death in children. In this review, practical points of mechanical ventilation are highlighted for physicians who are not pediatric intensivists but take care of critically ill patients on some occasions. Therefore, approaches to facilitate the use of mechanical ventilator in daily practice were adopted instead of discussing more complicated details. Common errors or difficulties were emphasized. The goal was to remove the anxiety against use of a mechanical ventilator and provide comfortable patient care
