Giriş ve Amaç: Dr.Sami Ulus Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi genel pediatri polikliniklerine başvuran hastaların sosyodemografik özellikleri ve önerilen tıbbi tedaviye uyumlarının değerlendirildiği bu çalışmada hastaya verilen tıbbi tedavi (reçete) hizmetlerinin ne kadarının hastaya ulaştığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç-Yöntemler: Temmuz-Eylül 2007 tarihleri arasında Dr Sami Ulus Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi pediatri genel polikliniklerine başvuran 0-16 yaş arası 407 çocuğun aileleriyle anket yöntemi kullanılarak yapılan tanımlayıcı bir çalışmadır.Bulgular: Çocukların %53.6’sı (218) üst solunum yolu şikayetleri ile başvurmuştu. Hastaların %83.3’ü (338) tanılarını biliyordu Ailelerin %37.3’ü (152) tam olarak doktorun reçeteyi anlattığını belirttiler. Ailelerin %46.9’u (191) tam olarak, %25.3’ü kısmen reçete kullanımını biliyorlardı.Sonuçlar: Hekimler hastanın ilaca uyumunu etkileyen etkenlerin hepsini göz önüne alabilecek, değerlendirebilecek olgunluğa getirilmelidir. Daha fazla çalışmaların yapılması ilaca uyumu etkileyen en etkin faktörün tanımlanmasında yardımcı olabilecektir.
Aim: To determine how much of the medical treatment (prescribing) services transfer to the patient by evaluating sociodemographic characteristics and compliance to medical treatment of patients admitted to general pediatric clinics of Dr Sami Ulus Children’s Education and Training Hospital. Material And Methods: This study is a descriptive study by using a questionnaire conducted between JulySeptember 2007 with the families of 407 children aged 0-16 years admitted to pediatric polyclinics of Dr Sami Ulus Children’s Education and Training Hospital. Results: Of the patients, 53.6% (n=218) applied for upper airway complaints and 83.3% (n=338) had known the diagnosis. Of the families, 37.3% (n=152) had told that the doctor ‘completely’ expressed prescription and 46.9% (n = 191) ‘in-completely’, 25.3% ‘partially’ knew the use of prescription.Conclusion: Physicians should be matured to evaluate and to take into consideration all factors that affect patient compliance with medication. More studies may help to identify the most effective factor affecting drug compliance

Manuscripts submitted to the Turkish Journal of Pediatric Disease will go through a double-blind peer-review process. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two external, independent peer reviewers who are experts in the field, in order to ensure an unbiased evaluation process. The editorial board will invite an external and independent editor to manage the evaluation processes of manuscripts submitted by editors or by the editorial board members of the journal. The Editor in Chief is the final authority in the decision-making process for all submissions. Articles accepted for publication in the Turkish Journal of Pediatrics are put in the order of publication taking into account the acceptance dates. If the articles sent to the reviewers for evaluation are assessed as a senior for publication by the reviewers, the section editor and the editor considering all aspects (originality, high scientific quality and citation potential), it receives publication priority in addition to the articles assigned for the next issue.
The aim of the Turkish Journal of Pediatrics is to publish high-quality original research articles that will contribute to the international literature in the field of general pediatric health and diseases and its sub-branches. It also publishes editorial opinions, letters to the editor, reviews, case reports, book reviews, comments on previously published articles, meeting and conference proceedings, announcements, and biography.
