Bir Adolesanda Memede Cystosarcoma Phyllodes: Olgu Sunumu

Year 2009, Volume: 3 Issue: 1, 51 - 56, 01.12.2009

Abstract

CYSTOSARCOMA PHYLLODES IN THE BREAST OF AN ADOLESCENT: A CASE REPORT

Year 2009, Volume: 3 Issue: 1, 51 - 56, 01.12.2009

Abstract

Cystosarcoma phyllodes (CP) is an uncommon tumor in children. In this case report, the authors describe a case of cystosarcoma phylloides of the breast in a 13-year-old girl. The clinical examination showed a voluminous painless tumour which had grown rapidly. The mass was removed. The histologic examination confirmed a hypercellular stroma and glandular elements projecting into the stroma in a leaf-like fashion. The only effective therapy of Cystosarcoma phyllodes is wide surgical removal with an adequate margin of normal breast tissue
