Acil Servise Solunum Sistemi Şikayetiyle Başvuran Hastalarda Tamamlayıcı ve Alternatif Tıp Kullanımının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Solunum sistemi hastalıkları çocukluk
çağında sık görülmekte ve hastane başvurularının önemli bir bölümünü
oluşturmaktadır. Ailelerin çocuklarına özellikle solunum sistemi
hastalıklarında  tamamlayıcı ve
alternatif tıp (TAT) uygulamaları olabilmektedir. Bu çalışma, acil servise
solunum sistemi şikayeti ile başvuran çocukların ailelerinin TAT konusunda
bilgi düzeyleri ve uyguladıkları TAT yöntemlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı.



Gereç
ve Yöntemler:
Hastanemiz
çocuk acil kliniğine Haziran 2017 ve Mart 2018 tarihleri arasında solunum
sistemi şikayeti ile başvuran Pediatrik Kanada triaj ölçeğine göre triaj
kategorisi 4 ve 5 olan çocukların ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden aileleri
dahil edildi. Ailelere standart anket formu ile sosyodemografik özellikleri, TAT
konusunda bilgi düzeyleri ve uyguladıkları TAT yöntemleri sorgulandı.



Bulgular: Çalışmaya alınan 228 hastanın ortanca yaşı
(IQR), 24.4 ay (8.3- 57.9 ay) olup, 142’si (% 62.3) erkek cinsiyette idi.
Solunum sistemi şikayetleri; en sık nefes darlığı (% 50.9), hızlı nefes alma (%
21.5) ve öksürük (% 20.6) olup, şikayet süre ortancasının (IQR), 3 (2-7) gündü.
Tanıları değerlendirildiğinde 150
(% 65.8) hasta bronşiolit ve 49 (% 21.5) hasta astım atak idi.
Hastaların 112’sinin (% 49.1) tekrarlayan
solunum şikayeti vardı. Kronik hastalığı olan 62 (% 27.2) hasta vardı, en sık
kronik hastalık astım idi. Annelerin 176’sı (% 77.2) TAT uygulaması yapmakta ve
en sık olarak bitkisel ürün kullanmakta idi. Bitkisel ürün olarak; ıhlamur (%
50.9), nane-limon (% 40.8) ve keçi boynuzu (% 29.4) anne tarafından çocuklarına
verilmişti. Ayrıca annelerin 121’i (% 53.1) çocuklarına bağışıklık sistemini
güçlendirmek için destekleyici kullanıyordu.



Çocuğunda tekrarlayan solunum şikayeti veya
kronik hastalığı olan ailelerde TAT 
kullanımı daha fazla idi (sırasıyla p= 0.042, p= 0.030).



Sonuç: Çocuklarının solunum sistemi şikayetlerinde,
özellikle tekrarlayan solunum şikayeti varlığında ailelerde TAT kullanımı
sıktır. En fazla bitkisel ürünler ve destek ürünleri kullanılmaktadır.

The publication language of Turkish Journal of Pediatric Disease is English.


Manuscripts submitted to the Turkish Journal of Pediatric Disease will go through a double-blind peer-review process. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two external, independent peer reviewers who are experts in the field, in order to ensure an unbiased evaluation process. The editorial board will invite an external and independent editor to manage the evaluation processes of manuscripts submitted by editors or by the editorial board members of the journal. The Editor in Chief is the final authority in the decision-making process for all submissions. Articles accepted for publication in the Turkish Journal of Pediatrics are put in the order of publication, with at least 10 original articles in each issue, taking into account the acceptance dates. If the articles sent to the reviewers for evaluation are assessed as a senior for publication by the reviewers, the section editor and the editor considering all aspects (originality, high scientific quality and citation potential), it receives publication priority in addition to the articles assigned for the next issue.


The aim of the Turkish Journal of Pediatrics is to publish high-quality original research articles that will contribute to the international literature in the field of general pediatric health and diseases and its sub-branches. It also publishes editorial opinions, letters to the editor, reviews, case reports, book reviews, comments on previously published articles, meeting and conference proceedings, announcements, and biography. In addition to the field of child health and diseases, the journal also includes articles prepared in fields such as surgery, dentistry, public health, nutrition and dietetics, social services, human genetics, basic sciences, psychology, psychiatry, educational sciences, sociology and nursing, provided that they are related to this field. can be published.
