Abstract

Authored by Ümit Horozcu, this book presents the findings of a qualitative study conducted with 102 young women who, after having previously worn the headscarf, made the decision to stop covering their heads. The research explores in depth, through qualitative methodology, the participants' experiences before, during, and after their decision to remove the headscarf. Topics such as the women's reasons for unveiling, the impact of their decision on their religious beliefs, whether they experienced regret, and their thoughts about the future are examined in detail, offering significant insights into the field of the psychology of religion.

Abstract

Ümit Horozcu tarafından yazılan bu kitap, geçmişte başörtüsü kullandıktan sonra başını açma kararı alan 102 genç kadınla gerçekleştirilen nitel bir araştırmanın bulgularını sunmaktadır. Çalışma, katılımcıların başlarını açma kararı öncesinde, sürecinde ve sonrasındaki deneyimlerini nitel metodolojiyle derinlemesine incelemektedir. Kadınların başlarını açma gerekçeleri, kararlarının dini inançlarına etkileri, pişmanlık yaşayıp yaşamadıkları ve geleceğe yönelik düşünceleri gibi din psikolojisi disiplinine ilişkin konular detaylıca ele alınmıştır.
