PISA-PROJESİ'NİN TÜRK EĞİTİM SİSTEMİ AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Araştırmamızda OECD'nin yürütmekte olduğu, OECD'ye üye ülkelerin katılımıyla gerçekleşen ve bu ülkelerin eğitim - öğretim düzeyini belirlemek üzere ilk iki aşaması uygulanan PISA - Projesinin niteliği ve bu projenin Türkiye açısından önemi tartışılmıştır. Söz konusu projenin kapsadığı üç aşamalı sınav sürecinin hedef kitlesi 15 yaş grubu orta öğretim öğrencileridir. Araştırmamızda bu uluslar arası öğrenci değerlendirme projesinde kullanılan “Test Soruları”ndan bazı somut örnekler ele alınarak, bu soru tarzlarının özellikle Türk öğrenci profiline uygunluğu, uygulanabilirliği ve tutarlılığı, soru örneklerinin temel konseptleri ve dilbilimsel özellikleri açılarından incelenerek tartışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Türk Eğitim Sistemi, bu projenin sınavlarında kullanılan sorular ile Türk öğrencilerinin alıştırılmış oldukları soru tarzları (Örn. Liselere Giriş Sınavları) karşılaştırılarak irdelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde, Türk Eğitim Sistemi'ne yeni bir bakış açısı verilmeye çalışılarak bir dizi önerilerde de bulunulmuştur.

THE EVALUATION OF PISA PROJECT IN THE CONTEXT OF TURKISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

Abstract

In this study, the quality and the importance of PISA for Turkey is examined. PISA is run by OECD and its first two stages have been applied by the participation of the OECD member countries. By this, the success level of education in these countries has been investigated. The target population of the mentioned project's test, totally given in three stages, involves secondary school students at the age of 15. In the study, some sample questions from the Program for International Student Assessment Test are examined with respect to their practicality, validity, reliability, linguistic aspects and content for the administration of them to Turkish students. Within this context, Turkish Educational System is questioned comparing and contrasting the kinds of questions given to Turkish students in some exams like Lycee Entrance Exams with the questions in PISA Tests. Considering the findings, some suggestions are made for the improvement of Turkish Educational System.
