Kronik Yaranın Türk Tıp Eğitimindeki Yeri

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada Türk tıp eğitiminde diyabetik ayak, basınç ülseri, venöz ülser, arteriyal yetmezlik ülseri gibi kronik yara türleri ve yara bakımı konularının ne ölçüde yer aldığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Tıp lisans eğitiminin çekirdek eğitim müfredatı, uzmanlık dallarının halen yürürlükte olan eğitim müfredatları, son 10 yıl içinde (2015-2024) Tıpta Uzmanlık Sınavlarında çıkan sorular ve son beş yıl boyunca (2000-2024 düzenlenen uzmanlık dallarının ulusal kongreleri taranarak kronik yara ile ilişkili konular saptandı.
Bulgular: Araştırılan bu dört ayrı eğitim basamağında kronik yara ve yara bakımına ayrılan konuların ve bunların sayı ve sürelerinin oldukça yetersiz olduğu görüldü.
Sonuç: Önemli bir sağlık problemi olan kronik yara ve yara tedavisi konularının Türk Tıp Eğitiminde daha fazla yer alması gerekmektedir.

Chronic Wound in Turkish Medical Training

Abstract

Background: The aim of this study was to determine to what extent chronic wound types like diabetic ulcer, venous ulcer, pressure ulcer or arterial ulcers and wound care topic are included in medical training in Turkey.
Methods: National basic medical curriculum, current training curriculums of residency programs, all questions of last 10 year’s (2015-2024) national medical residency entrance test and the programs of the last five year’s (2000-2004) national scientific meetings of speciality fields were reviewed with regards to chronic wound related topics.
Results: It was seen in all four of these training steps, topics related to chronic wound and wound care which is a significant health concern were seldom covered. Also trainings in programs were brief and short.
Conclusions: Topics related to chronic wound and wound care which is a significant health concern should be covered more thoroughly medical training in Turkey.
