Instructions to Authors

World of Medical Education (Tıp Eğitimi Dünyası); the articles it publishes are of the highest ethical and scientific standards in relation to the subject and are not concerned with commercial concerns. The articles submitted for publication must have not been previously published elsewhere or sent for publication. If the article has previously published citations, tables, pictures, etc. if any, author (s), owner of the right of publication and authors to obtain written permission and specify it in the article. Previously presented work in congresses is accepted provided this condition is stated. If the article (s) contains some of the topics in a previously published article, this should be noted and a copy of the previous article should be sent along with the new article.
After the article is sent to the reviewer evaluation, the author name cannot be added and the author order cannot be changed except the authors whose signature is on the print rights transfer form. In order to remove any of the article authors from the article, all written authors of the article must have their written and written permission and must be notified to the Tıp Eğitimi Dünyası.
The author is informed that the article has been accepted or rejected. Where necessary, corrections may be required by the author. These corrections must be completed and sent to the journal within 20 days at the latest. Otherwise, the text should be resubmitted as a new application. Requesting correction from the worm does not mean that the article will be published. The editor has the authority to reject articles that do not fit the conditions of publication without offering them to the reviewers. The ethical, scientific and legal responsibility of the articles published in the journal belongs to the author and does not reflect the views of the Association for the Development of Medical Education, editors and the editorial board. Whether or not the publication of the manuscript in the journal is accepted or not, the manuscript material is not returned to the authors. The author signs a non-exclusive publishing contract with the Tip Egitimi Dunyasi and it means that the author grants the publishing rights to the Tip Eğitimi Dunyasi in accordance with the Creative Commons licenses (CC BY-NC).
Publication Rules
Scientific Responsibility
All authors should be scientifically significant contributors directly to the article submitted. The person (s) specified as the author must have all of the following characteristics *
1. The authors must have significant contributions to the design, planning and, data collection process or to the interpretation of them.
2. Write the article draft or have critical contributions to its content.
3. Accept the final version of the article.

Ethical Responsibility
The World of Medical Education accepts the principle of conformity to the Principles of Helsinki Declaration (http://www.wma.net/en/30publications/10policies/b3/index.html) in all studies in which the "Human" is involved. In the presence of such studies, the authors must state that they are working in accordance with these principles in the article and method section of the article and that they are "informed consent" from the ethical committees of the institutions and the people who have participated in the study. If there is an institution that provides financial support for the direct or indirect commercial connection or works in the article, it is necessary to report that there is no commercial relationship with the material, product, drug, firm ... used and if there is any relation (consultancy etc.) on the page of the editorial presentation. If it is necessary to obtain the "Ethics Committee Approval", the received document should be sent with the article.
The authors are responsible for the compliance of the articles by the ethical rules. In the course of the evaluation of the article, if the editor (s) or the consultants need it, it may be requested from the authors to submit the research data on the article and / or the ethics committee approval document.

The research types requiring ethics committee permission are listed below:
All quantitative or qualitative research types in which data is gathered from the participants by survey, conversation, focus group meeting, observation, experiment, and interview techniques
Use of human or animals for experiments or other scientific purposes (including material/data)
Clinical trials performed on human
Clinical trials performed on animals
Retrospective studies under the scope of personal data protection law

Additionally;
A statement is required in case reports to ensure that informed consent form is obtained.
For use of previously published scale, survey, visual material such as pictures, graphs, or tables, permission should be obtained from the rights holders and this should be stated in the text.
For use of intellectual and artworks, a statement declaring that “copyright regulations are considered” is required

Statistical Evaluation
All research articles should be evaluated statistically and indicated by appropriate plan, analysis, and reporting. The p values should be given clearly in the papers (p <0.000, p = 0.037, p = 0.506 etc.). When reporting the results of statistical tests, please follow the APA format (https://my.ilstu.edu/~jhkahn/apastats.html). Research articles should be evaluated by the biostatistics specialist before being submitted to the journal and the name of the expert should be included in the article's authorship or should be stated in the acknowledgment section. The authors are responsible for the suitability of the statistical rules.
Evaluation Based on Language
The writing language of the journal is Turkish and English. Written in Turkish with English abstracts. The Turkish language dictionary of the Turkish Language Association (www.tdk.gov.tr) should be taken as a basis during the preparation of the article.
English articles and English abstracts must be evaluated by a language expert or a native English speaker prior to submission. If the consultant who evaluates the article in English is not one of the authors, the name should be indicated in the acknowledgment section. Spelling and grammatical errors in sent articles can be corrected in the Editor (s) control without touching the contents of the article, or they can be requested from the correction writers. The authors are responsible for the suitability of the articles for writing and linguistic rules.
Publication Support Statement
The letters sent to Tıp Eğitimi Dünyası to be published must include the names of any institutions and/or persons who provide direct or indirect business links and/or financial support (monetary and/or material) to the work (if any) drug, firm, etc.) and their commercial relationships should be explained in the "Publication Support Declaration Document".
Publishing and Privacy Statement
The ownership of the Tıp Eğitimi Dünyası belongs to the Tıp Eğitimini Geliştirme Derneği (Association for Development of Medical Education) and it governs by Editorial team.
The authors of the articles published in Tıp Eğitimi Dünyası retain the copyright of their publications. Authors grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its original authors and citation details are identified. The author signs a non-exclusive publishing contract with the Tip Egitimi Dunyasi and it means that the author grants the publishing rights to the Tip Eğitimi Dunyasi in accordance with the Creative Commons licenses (CC BY-NC).
The types of manuscripts
Original Research:
Cross-sectional, prospective, retrospective, and all kinds of experimental studies. These articles should be prepared in the following structure.
- Title: The title should include the title of the work in Turkish and English, the names of the authors, the institutions they work with, the name of the responsible author, the institution, the correspondence address, telephone, fax, and e-mail address. The title of the article should be brief, easy to understand, and should be descriptive of the content of the article.
- Structured Abstract: Abstracts should be between 250 to 300 words in English and should include sections of background, methods, results, conclusions, and finally in the title of Medical Subject Headings (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh) at least 3, at most 5 keywords should be added. The title, abstract, and key-words in Turkish and English should be compatible with each other.

Review and Educational/training program introductions:
It will also cover the current literature on topics related to medical education and programs. These manuscripts should be prepared in the following structure.
- Title: The title should include the title of Turkish and English, the names of the authors, the institutions they work with, the name, institution, correspondence address, telephone, fax, and e-mail address of the responsible author.

- Abstract: It should be between 250 to 300 words in English. Turkish and English titles and abstracts should be compatible with each other.

Editorial Commentary / Discussion:
The original published research articles should be evaluated by an expert of the researcher other than the authors of the research. The relevant article is finally published.
Letter of Editors:
Articles written in the last one year consist of a maximum of 500 words including the opinions, experiences, and questions of the readers related to the articles published in the magazine. These articles should be added up to five sources without the title and summary sections and, the article should be prepared to specify the name, institution, and address of the author. The response to the letter is given by the editor (s) or by the author (s) of the article and, it is published in the TED journal.
Scientific Letters:
Scientific writings, which inform the readers about topics related to medical education, are also discussed in the printed scientific articles. These articles should be prepared in the following structure.
- Summary: Must be prepared in Turkish and English, 150 words max.
- Topics: They should be related to the topic

Short Communication:
Short Communications are short papers that present original and/or significant educational intervention for rapid dissemination. For example, Short Communication may focus on a particular aspect of a problem or a new finding that is expected to have a significant impact. Short articles include, but are not limited to; the discovery or development of new learning methods, cutting-edge educational practice and theory, the novelty in education and training, elucidation of learning mechanisms, studies comparing findings obtained by already defined tools with previous studies.
Book Reviews:
These manuscripts are the evaluations of national or internationally recognized books with the current value.
Question / Answer:
These articles contain questions and answers which are scientific educational-teaching in medical education subjects. Writing rules Written submissions for journal publication; must be typed double-spaced using a word processor (Microsoft, OpenOffice, etc.) program and a 12-point Times New Roman font. There should be 2,5 cm space on the top, bottom, and sides of every page. Pages must be numbered consecutively.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be given in parentheses where the first of the definition passed, and that abbreviation should be used throughout the entire text.
Figures, Pictures, Tables, and Graphics The places where figures, pictures, tables, and graphics appear in the text should be indicated in the parentheses at the end of the relevant sentence and consecutively numbered in the text.
References
The World of Medical Education states that gave special emphasis to benefit from Turkish references and authors expected are to be sensitive to this issue. References should be placed in the order in which they appear in the text, in the place where the name or characteristic of the name of the belief in the sentence ends immediately, or at the end of the sentence, in parentheses before the end and in consecutive numbering. References section; Prepared according to the VANCOUVER Style, should be added as a separate title at the end of the text, numbered sequentially, in order.

Preparation of the text to be sent to the referee evaluation The original article should be copied and one of them should be prepared and to be sent to the referee evaluation. To prepare the referee version, all the information related to the authors and, the institutions' name should be hidden and please replace them with the form of [XXXX].

This form means that Tıp Egitimi Dunyası is approved by authors to publish their articles under the Creative Commons Citation License in accordance with the journal's publication policy. If the editors (s) or consultants see the need for evaluation of the article, it may be requested from the original author of the "Publication Rights Transfer Form" document.
