BAĞLANMA VE PSİKOLOJİK SAĞLAMLIK ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİDE KİŞİLERARASI İLETİŞİMİN ARACI ROLÜ

Abstract

Bu araştırma, bireylerin bağlanma ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasındaki ilişkide kişilerarası iletişimin aracı rolünü incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada kolayda ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklem grubu 18-45 yaş arası yetişkinlerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında veriler çevrimiçi anketler ile toplanmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Üç Boyutlu Bağlanma Stilleri Ölçeği, Kişilerarası İletişim Yetkinliği Envanteri ve Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde verilerin analizi için IBM SPSS Statistics 26 paket programı kullanışmıştır. Bağlanma stilleri, kişilerarası iletişim yetkinliği ve psikolojik sağlamlığın demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşma durumunu incelemek amacıyla Bağımsız Grup t Testi uygulanmıştır. İlk olarak bağlanma stilleri, kişilerarası iletişim yetkinliği ve psikolojik sağlamlık değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkiler Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyon Katsayısı Analizi ile incelenmiştir. İkinci olarak bağlanma ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasındaki ilişkide kişiler arası iletişim yetkinliğinin aracı rolünü sınamak amacıyla Hiyerarşik Regresyon Analizi ve Hayes (2013)'in geliştirmiş olduğu Process Makro v4.2 eklentisi kullanılmıştır. Ek olarak araştırmada önerilen modele ait doğrudan ve dolaylı etkinin anlamlılığını belirlemek amacıyla bootstrapping tekniği kullanılarak güven aralıkları incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, bağlanma stilleri, kişilerarası iletişim yetkinliği ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğunu göstermektedir. Ek olarak değişkenlerin demografik değişkenlere göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Son olarak gerçekleştirilen aracılık analizinde kişilerarası iletişim yetkinliğinin bağlanma stilleri ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasındaki ilişkide kısmi aracılık rolü olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Mevcut çalışmada kişilerarası iletişim yetkinliğinin aracı rolünün tespit edilmiş olması ilerideki önleme ve müdahale çalışmalarında özen gösterilmesi gereken noktalara dikkat çekmektedir.

THE MEDIATING ROLE OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ATTACHMENT AND PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE

Abstract

This research aims to examine the mediating role of interpersonal communication in the relationship between attachment and psychological resilience. Convenience sampling methods were used in the study, which was designed in accordance with the relational screening model.The sample group of the study consists of adults between the ages of 18-45. Data were collected through online surveys. Personal Information Form, Three-Dimensional Attachment Styles Scale, Interpersonal Communication Competence Inventory and Brief Psychological Resilience Scale were used as data collection tools. IBM SPSS Statistics 26 was used to analyze the data in the research process. The relationships between attachment styles, interpersonal communication competence and psychological resilience variables were examined using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient Analysis. Secondly, Process Macro v4.2 plugin developed by Hayes (2013) were used to test the mediating role of interpersonal communication competence in the relationship between attachment and psychological resilience. According to the findings of the study, there are significant relationships between secure attachment, avoidant attachment, anxious-ambivalent attachment, interpersonal communication competence, and psychological resilience. Moreover, in the mediation analysis revealed that interpersonal communication competence has a mediating role in the relationship between secure, avoidant, and anxious-ambivalent attachment styles and psychological resilience. In conclusion, the findings underscore the protective role of interpersonal communication competence in fostering psychological resilience. The identification of this mediating role of interpersonal communication competence in the present study highlights important considerations for future prevention and intervention efforts.
