Summary:

This shedy entitled “A Look to Ahmet Muhip Dıranas' Theatre Works at Present Time” examines the plays written by Ahmet Muhip Dıranas who is mostly well known with his poems more than his dramatic works. This article reveals the importance of Ahmet Muhip Dıranas as a playwright and also re-analyses his works from the present time point of view. Through his most important play Gölgeler (Shadows) based at the center of this shedy, the influence of symbolism, the concepts of death, timesocial infrastucture, the individual and the family in Dıranas' plays have been discussed around the social dynamics of the 1940's.
