In textile machinery especially in fabric dying machines industrialface seals are being used. In applications, it is required that the pressurised Juid not escape from operating region. Mechanical radialface seals prevent the leakage with the principle of pressure generation hydrodinamicauy and lydroslaticaly. In this study. with reference to ideal sealing. the eJfects of sealing model on the hrjdraulic balance of the system have been investigated Lheoretically by evaluating dgerent design parameters (pressure, load. pressure centre, bearing misalignment, ring geometry. angle of maximum-film thickness, an'al movement etc.). 111 the present investigation, a theoretical model aimed to have computer aided design capability 01 mechanical face seals has been developed
