Abstract
Trying ta analyse the figure, form, symbol, colour, concept and arrangement of the swace ornamentations of Anatolia will bring about new dimensions of approach to our traditional arts. In tihs article, along with the well-known values of mathematical balance and accord of the woven figures (motifs) used in Anatolia, the culture andphilosophy of life of those who created these figures are examined by considering them in their historical perspectives. The possibilities that today's technology provide are pushing the industrial products more closely to aesthetic values by an ever increasing measure. From this viewpoint, works that will support the weaving production in the artistic direction are gaining importance. In the same context, the prevention of the motifs to be used in the textile products from going away from its traditional roots, thus becoming deteriorated, will in some way contribute to the textile production.
