Abstract

Synthappret BAP, a water-solulde polycarbamoyl sulphonate, is used in pad/dry treatments for shrink-resisting wool fabrics. Synthappret BAP is usually coapplied with a dispersion because, under industrial drying conditions, the mixture gives better shrinkresistance than either component separately. In the present study, we show that addition of low concentrations of urea to the pad liqour improves the performance of Synthappret BAP formulations.

Synthappret BAP suda @debilen birpolikarbamoil slilfonat olup, ylinlii kumwlara ~ekmezlik kazandrrmak iph emdime-kurutma muamelesinde kullanrlir [Guise ve Jackson 1973, IWS Ta%mmcal Information Bulletin, Ekim 19771, Synthappret BAP ~ogunlukla bir poliiiretan & persiyonu ile birlikte kullanilrr [Fmcher ve white IWS Technical Information Bulletin, Ekim 19771, ~iidkii endilstriyel kurutma ko~ullannda kansim halinde kullammi her bir bile~enin tek bqina kullanimindan daha iyi qekmezlik saglar. Bu yazida fular banyosuna dil~iik konsantrasyonlarda iire eklenmesinin Synthappret BAP re- ~etelerinin performansim geli~tirdigi giiriilmektedir.
