THE ISRAEL-PALESTINE DISPUTE IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERNATIONAL LAW, THE ROLE OF THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
Abstract
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict presents a complex challenge in the realm of international law and the role of the international community. This article examines the conflict from an international legal perspective and assesses the contributions of the United Nations (UN) and other global actors towards resolving it. Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, the dispute has extended beyond regional borders, sparking significant debates over international legal norms and human rights principles. The UN has attempted to address the conflict through various security resolutions and peace processes, yet these efforts have generally achieved limited success. The article evaluates the role of the UN and the international community in this context, discussing the implementation challenges of international legal norms and offering potential solutions. It analyzes the effectiveness of current peace processes and international interventions and provides recommendations for guiding future peace efforts. Ultimately, the role of international law and global actors is crucial for achieving a lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Abstract
Filistin-İsrail anlaşmazlığı, uluslararası hukukun ve uluslararası toplumun rolünü test eden karmaşık bir sorundur. Bu makalede, Filistin-İsrail ihtilafının uluslararası hukuk perspektifinden nasıl ele alındığı ve Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) ile diğer uluslararası aktörlerin bu çatışmaya yönelik katkıları incelenmektedir. 1948'de İsrail Devleti'nin kurulmasıyla başlayan anlaşmazlık, bölgesel sınırların ötesinde bir etki yaratmış ve uluslararası hukuk normları ile insan hakları ilkeleri üzerinde önemli tartışmalara yol açmıştır. BM, çeşitli güvenlik kararları ve barış süreçleri aracılığıyla bu çatışmanın çözümüne katkıda bulunmaya çalışmış, ancak bu çabalar genellikle sınırlı başarılar elde etmiştir. Makale, BM’nin ve uluslararası toplumun bu süreçteki rolünü değerlendirirken, uluslararası hukuk normlarının uygulama sorunlarını ve çözüm önerilerini tartışmaktadır. Ayrıca, mevcut barış süreçlerinin ve uluslararası müdahalelerin etkinliği analiz edilmekte ve gelecekteki barış çabalarının nasıl yönlendirilmesi gerektiğine dair öneriler sunulmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, Filistin-İsrail anlaşmazlığında uluslararası hukukun ve uluslararası toplumun rolü, kalıcı bir çözüm için kritik öneme sahiptir.
