Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi’ne Başvuran Doğurganlık Çağındaki Kadınlarda Gözlenen Anti-Toxoplasma IgM- IgG Seropozitifliği

Abstract

Amaç: Toxoplasma gondii enfeksiyonu, insanlarda genellikle klinik belirti vermemekle birlikte gebelikte geçirildiğinde fetüs üzerinde olumsuz etkiler oluşturabilmektedir. Gebeliğin erken döneminde enfeksiyonun fetüse bulaşma riski düşük, ciddi semptomların ortaya çıkma olasılığı ise yüksektir. Gebeliğin geç dönemlerinde enfeksiyonun fetüse bulaşma riski yüksek, ortaya çıkan bulgular ise hafif hatta asemptomatik olabilmektedir. Bu tanımlayıcı çalışma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi’ne başvuran, 15-49 yaş arası kadınlarda anti-T. gondii IgG ve IgM seropozitifliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla planlanmıştır. Yöntemler:Hastanemiz Tıbbi Laboratuvarına, 1 Ocak-31 Aralık 2013 tarihleri arasında, çeşitli kliniklerden gönderilen, doğurganlık çağındaki kadınlara ait serum örneklerinde çalışılan anti-Toxoplasma IgM, anti-Toxoplasma IgG ve antiToxoplasma IgG avidite test sonuçları geriye dönük olarak değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Anti-Toxoplasma IgM ve anti-Toxoplasma IgG testleri Vıtros, Johnson & Johnson, ABD kemilüminesans yöntemi ile, antiToxoplasma IgG avidite testi VIDAS, bio-Merieux, Fransa ise enzim bağlantılı floresan testi ELFA yöntemi ile çalışılmış ve firma önerileri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmamızda, yaş ortalaması 29,78 ± 5,95 olan kadınlarda %5,2 45/862 oranında antiToxoplasma IgM pozitifliği, %24,4 194/794 oranında anti-Toxoplasma IgG seropozitifliği tespit edilmiştir. Anti-Toxoplasma IgG avidite testi istenen kadınlarda ise %84,6 55/65 oranında yüksek avidite, %12,3 8/65 oranında düşük avidite ve %3,1 2/65 oranında sınırda avidite değeri tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Hastanemize başvuran 15-49 yaş grubu kadınlar arasında T. gondii enfeksiyonuna duyarlı grubun hiç de küçük olmadığı gözlenmiştir. Çalışmamızda düşük avidite değerleri de saptanmış olup özellikle doğurganlık yaş grubu kadınlarda konjenital toksoplazmozun akla getirilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır

Evaluation of anti-Toxoplasma IgM-IgG Seropositivity among Women in Reproductive Period, Who Amitted to Suleyman Demirel University Hospital

Abstract

Objective: Toxoplasma gondii causes generally an asymptomatic infection. If it develops during pregnancy, it can cause some fetal disorders. In the early stage of pregnancy, the risk of spreading of infection to the fetus is low while the possibility of appearance of serious symptoms is high. In the late stages of pregnancy, the risk of speading of infection is high while the appeared symptoms are mild even asymptomatic. This descriptive study was planned aiming to determine anti-T. gondii IgG and IgM seropositivity in the women at the ages between 15-49 who applied to the Süleyman Demirel University Medical Faculty Hospital.Methods: The anti-Toxoplasma IgM, antiToxoplasma IgG and anti-Toxoplasma avidite test results performed on the serum samples of the women in the reproductive period which were send from several clinics to our hospital medical microbiology laboratory between the dates 1 January - 31 December 2013, were evaluated retrospectively.
