Neuman’ın Sistemler Modeli ve Henderson’ın Hemşirelik Bakımında 14 Temel Gereksinim Teorisi Işığında COVID-19 Tanılı İki Hastanın Hemşirelik Bakımı: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan ve modern zamanların en büyük salgınlarından biri olarak kabul edilen yeni tip Coronavirus hastalığı, SARS-CoV-2 virüsünün neden olduğu bulaşıcı bir hastalıktır. Şiddetli solunum yetmezliği olan hastalar, komplikasyonların yönetimi ve solunumu fonksiyonlarının desteklemesi için yoğun bakım ünitelerinde tedavi edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki bir üniversite hastanesinde COVID-19 nedeniyle şiddetli solunum yetmezliği sendromu gelişen ve yoğun bakımda tedavi uygulanan ilk iki hastanın hemşirelik süreci tartışılmıştır. COVID-19 pozitif tanısı alan her iki hasta, yüksek ateş, yorgunluk, nefes darlığı, öksürük, diyare ve aritmi semptomları ile kliniğe başvurmuşlardır. Çalışmamızda olguların hemşirelik bakımında Neuman’ın ‘Sistemler Modeli’ ve Henderson’ın ‘Hemşirelik Bakımında 14 Temel Gereksinim Teorisi’ olmak üzere iki farklı model kullanılmıştır. Yoğun bakım ünitelerindeki nitelikli hemşirelik bakımının etkisinin tartışılmaz olduğu düşünülmektedir. Nitelikli hemşirelik bakımına rehberlik eden hemşirelik modelleri, disipline özgü araştırmalara, mesleki eğitime ve bakım uygulamalarına yön vererek mesleki özerkliğin gelişimine katkıda bulunmaktadır.

Nursing Care Of Two COVID-19 Patients In The Light Of Neuman Systems Model and Henderson's Theory Of 14 Basic Needs In Nursing Care: A Case Report

Abstract

Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is one of the worst pandemics that has taken hold of the whole world. The new disease is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Patients with severe respiratory failure are treated in intensive care units to manage complications and support respiratory function. In this study, the nursing process of the first two patients who developed severe respiratory failure syndrome due to COVID-19 and were treated in the intensive care unit in a university hospital in Turkey were discussed. Both patients with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 applied to the clinic with symptoms of high fever, fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, diarrhea and arrhythmia. In our study, two different models were used in the nursing care of the cases, namely Neuman's 'Systems Model' and Henderson's '14 Basic Needs Theory in Nursing Care'. It is thought that the effect of qualified nursing care in ICU rate is indisputable. Nursing models that guide qualified nursing care contribute to the development of professional autonomy by giving direction to discipline-specific research, vocational training and care practices.
