Mapping the Southern Galactic Plane in Milimetre Wavelength

Abstract

In this workshop talk, we presented our decade-long project briefly: The Mopra Southern Galactic CO Survey. 12CO, 13CO, C18O and C17O lines are mapped using the 22m single dish Mopra Telescope. The Mopra CO Survey covers a region from 335° to 250° in Galactic longitude and from -1° to +1° in Galactic latitude. In this paper, we briefly discuss why CO is one of the most important molecules to probe molecular clouds and the methods we have used to conduct this survey.

Güney Galaktik Diskin Milimetre Dalgaboyunda Haritalandırılması

Abstract

Bu çalıştay konuşmasında, on yıllık projemizi kısaca sunduk: Mopra Güney Galaktik CO Araştırması. 12CO, 13CO, C18O ve C17O çizgileri, 22 metrelik tek çanak Mopra Teleskobu kullanılarak haritalandı. Mopra CO Tarama Çalışması, Galaktik boylamda 335°’den 250°’ye ve Galaktik enlemde -1°’den +1°’ye kadar olan bir bölgeyi kapsar. Bu makalede, CO’nun moleküler bulutları araştırmak için neden en önemli moleküllerden biri olduğunu ve bu çalışmayı yapmak için kullandığımız yöntemleri kısaca tartışıyoruz.
