Numerical Calculations of Jet and Wind Structures for Symbiotic Systems

Abstract

Symbiotic systems are binary star systems with many complex astrophysical components, such as stellar winds, jets and jet-like structures, and a cold symbiotic nebula surrounding the system. Observations of jet-like structures or transient jets in symbiotic stars make them important laboratories for investigating how jet ejection launches and/or how their existence is maintained. In addition, the interaction between the astrophysical components in the system is also important for understanding thermal processes. This study aims to highlight the studies of the curved jet structures, observed in various systems such as symbiotic stars, and the jet-stellar wind interactions through numerical simulations.

Simbiyotik Sistemlerde Jet ve Rüzgar Yapılarının Nümerik Çözümleri

Abstract

Simbiyotik sistemler yıldız rüzgarları, jet ve jet benzeri yapılar, sistemi saran soğuk simbiyotik bulutsu gibi birçok karmaşık astrofiziksel bileşenlere sahip çift yıldız sistemleridir. Bu sistemlerin bazılarında jet benzeri yapılarının ya da geçici jet yapılarının görülmesi, jet çıkış süreçlerinin nasıl başladığını ve/veya sürekliliğinin nasıl sağlandığının araştırılması açısından açısından önemli lobaratuvarlardır. Ek olarak, sistemdeki astrofiziksel bileşenlerin birbiriyle etkileşimi ısısal süreçlerin anlaşılması açısından da önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, nümerik çözümler sayesinde simbiyotik yıldızlarda da görülen bükülmüş jet yapılarına ve jet-yıldız rüzgarı etkileşimleriyle ilgili çalışmalara dikkat çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
