Abstract

Kısa dönemli RS CVn türü aktif çift sistemler, çift yıldızların evriminin anlaşılmasında özellikle de soğuk yıldız rüzgarları ile kütle kaybının önemli olduğu durumda önemli sistemlerdir. Seçilen çift RT And böylesi özelliklere sahip az sayıdaki sistemlerden biridir. Bu çalışmada 0.62 gün dönemli yakın çift sistem RT And’ın 2016-2020 yılları arasında TÜBİTAK Ulusal Gözlemevinde bulunan 60cm robotik teleskop kullanılarak U, B, V, R ve I bandlarında elde edilen yeni gözlemler kullanılarak analizler yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda sistemin gösterdiği U-B, B-V ve V-R renk değişimleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen yeni çokrenk fotometrik gözlemler ile dikine hızların ortak çözümünden sisteme ilişkin temel parametreler elde edilmiştir.

Short-Term Eclipsing Binary System RT Andromedae's UBVRI Multicolour Observations

Abstract

Active binary systems with short-period RS CVn types are important for understanding the evolution of binary stars, especially when mass loss by cool stellar winds is significant. Selected binary RT And is one of the few systems with such properties. In this study, we have analysed the 0.62 day period close binary system RT And using new observations obtained in U, B, V, R and I bands with the 60-cm robotic telescope at TÜBİTAK National Observatory between 2016 and 2020. As a result of the analyses, the U-B, B-V and V-R colour variations shown by the system were studied. In addition, the basic parameters of the system were obtained from the simultaneous solution of the new multi-colour photometric observations and the radial velocities.
