İşitme Cihazı Kullanıcısı Çocuklarda Fonem Ayırt Etme Becerileri: Preliminer Sonuçlar

Abstract

Amaç: Çocuklarda işitme kaybının görülme sıklığı diğer çocukluk çağı bozukluklarına kıyasla nispeten daha yüksektir. Ülkemizde çocukların konuşma uyaranlarını fark etme, ayırt etme, tanıma, anlama becerilerini değerlendirmeye yönelik rutinde uygulanan test bataryası bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı işitme cihazı kullanıcısı çocukların fonem ayırt etme becerilerini değerlendirmektir.

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya 3-10 yaş aralığındaki bilateral orta ve orta-ileri derecede işitme kaybına sahip olup bilateral kulak arkası işitme cihazı kullanıcısı çocuklar dahil edilmiştir. Uyaran olarak A§E® fonem ayırt etme testinde yer alan 7 fonem çifti kullanılmış ve serbest alanda 70 dB HL’de sunulmuştur. Bu çiftler /u/-/a/, /u/-/i/, /i/-/a/, /m/-/z/, /s/-/ʃ/, /z/-/s/, /v/-/z/ fonemleridir.

Bulgular: Bilateral işitme cihazı kullanıcısı 6 çocuğun fonem ayırt etme becerileri değerlendirilmiş olup olgulara ait sonuçlar sunulmuştur.

Sonuç: Çocuklarda işitme kayıpları göz önünde bulundurulduğunda; işitme kayıplı çocukların işitme ve konuşma gelişimlerini desteklemek, rehabilitasyon ve amplifikasyon programlamasına katkıda bulunmak için konuşma algısını değerlendiren test bataryalarını kullanmak önem arz etmektedir.
