Vestibüler Uyarılmış Miyojenik Potansiyeller: Klinik Kullanımı

Abstract

Vestibüler uyarılmış miyojenik potansiyeller (VEMP), yüksek şiddette uyarana cevaben boyun (cVEMP) ya da göz kasları (oVEMP) üzerine yerleştirilen elektrotlarla kaydedilen kısa latanslı miyojenik cevaplardır. Yaygın vestibüler sistem hastalıklarının yanı sıra denge bozukluklarına yol açan çeşitli santral patolojilerde de anormal VEMP bulguları bildirilmiştir. VEMP testinin birçok vestibüler ve santral bozukluğun tanısında kullanımının faydalı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu derlemede ilgili literatür gözden geçirilerek çeşitli hastalıkların ayırt edici tanılamasında VEMP testinin klinik kullanımı ortaya konulmuştur.
