Abstract

International Committee on Stratigraphy has formed new stages in Holocene and published them recently. Earthscientists of our country should adopt and start to use new stages urgently. If they do, new stages based on global climate changes can be basis of joint studies between fields of cultural geology, archaelogy, geoarchaeology, pedology, palaeoclimatology etc.

Abstract

Uluslararası Stratigrafi Komitesi Holosen’i katlara bölmüş ve yayınlamıştır. Ülkemiz yerbilimcileri bunlara çabukça alışmalı ve kullanmaya başlamalıdırlar. Çünkü, iklim küresel değişikliklerine dayanan yeni katlar kültürel jeoloji, arkeoloji, jeoarkeoloji, pedoloji, paleoklimaatoloji vb. alanlarda ortak çalışmalar yapılmasına zemin hazırlayabilecektir.
