Metamorfik kayaların elastik anizotropisi ile deformasyon tarihçesi arasındaki ilişkiler

Abstract

Bu yazıda, laboratuvar ölçüsündeki deneysel kaya mekaniği uygulaması ile kayaların deformasyon tarihçesinin saptanabileceği üzerinde durulmuştur. 200 mm çaplı yönlü mermer küre örnek üzerinde 145 çap doğrultusunda ölçülen (V) hızları ile stereografik hız dağılım diyagramı veya mermerinelastik anizotropisi elde edilmiştir. Diğer yönden, ayni mermerden alınan ince kesitlerdeki 225 kalsit kristalinin optik ekseni ölçülmüş ve bunlarla, C eksenlerinin stereografik diyagramı çizilmiştir. İki diyagramda elde edilen bakışımlılık eksenlerinin karşılaştırılması ve makroskopik arazi verileri ile, kalsit kristallerine yönelim kazandıran en son gerilme sisteminin elastik anizotropi yolu ile kısa zamanda bulunabileceği saptanmıştır.

The relationship between the deformation history and the elastic anisotropy of metamorphic rocks

Abstract

The emphasis in this article was given to the application of experimental rock meehanics, with laboratory measurements, to establish the rock deformation history. The stereographic p-wave velocity distribution or the elastic anisotropy of a marble sphere, 200 mm in diameter, was obtained with measurements of Vp velocities at 145 varying diameters directions. The optical axes of 225 calcite crystals was measured on thin sections taken from the same marble sample and thus stereographic orientation diagram of C-axes was drawn. By comparing the symmetry axes in these two diagrams and macroscopic field data, the latest stress pattern producing the directions of calcite crystals were established easily by determining the elastic anisotropy.
