DETERMINATION OF FINAL CONSUMER CHARACTERISTICS OF NON-WOOD FOREST PRODUCTS
Abstract
The aim of this article is to determine the structure, consumption tendency and preference of final consumers in relation to non-wood forest productions in Isparta city center. The method of the research is based on a questionnaire survey. According to the results of this research; (1) The consumers use these plants for general health, therapy and for pleasure, (2) They are consumed as infusion and decoction on large scale, (3) There is a big deficiency by means of using dose and side effect, (4) It is prefered in form naturally collected from the area, (5) Among the factors affecting consumption behaviors, recommendations of family and relatives come first. In this regard, traditionality dominates the formation of consumption habits.
