Woody vegetation classification and mapping by using hierarchical methods in Isparta- Yukarıgokdere District
Abstract
This study was achieved to classification and mapping of the woody vegetation of Isparta-Yukarıgokdere (Eğridir) district. In this study totally 122 sample plots were taken. Vegetation cover values were identified according to Braun-Blanquet method at each plot. In the study presence/ absence woody vegetation data was used. .Data were employed by using Association analysis, Cluster analysis and TWINSPAN (two way indicator species analysis). The results obtained from MRPP test and analytical hierachy process (AHP) showed that the best option was provided with TWINSPAN used one indicatory species. Finally, Woody vegetation was classified and mapped by using geostatistical methods and geographical information systems according to one indicatory TWINSPAN results.
