Dörtyol-Hatay yöresinde yetişen saplı meşe odununun bazı teknolojik özellikleri

Abstract

Bu makalenin temel amacı, Dörtyol (Hatay) yöresinde doğal olarak yetişen Saplı meşe (Q. robur L.) odununun bazı mekanik özelliklerini belirlemek ve bu özellikler ile yörenin toprak yapısı arasındaki etkileşimi araştırmaktır. İlgili yörede belirlenen deneme alanlarından temin edilen materyal üzerinde yapılan mekanik testler sonucunda; liflere paralel basınç direnci 60.2 N/mm2, statik eğilme direnci 100.7 N/mm2, elastikiyet modülü 9939.8 N/mm2, dinamik eğilme direnci 1.4 kgm/cm2, makaslama direnci 16.6 N/mm2, liflere paralel çekme direnci 97.7 N/mm2, liflere dik çekme direnci 6.6 N/mm2, Janka sertlik (liflere paralel yönde) 98.9 N/mm2 ve Janka sertlik (liflere dik yönde) 79.7 N/mm2 olarak tespit edildi. Regresyon analizi, yoğunluk ile direncin pozitif ve kuvvetli artan bir ilişkiye sahip olduğunu, toprak analizleri ise, yetişme ortamının meşe için oldukça uygun olduğunu göstermiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen temel çıktılarla birlikte hesaplanan statik ve dinamik kalite değerlerinin katkısı ile de, meşe odununun orman ürünleri endüstrisinde diğer kullanım alanları ile birlikte kereste, doğrama, parke, lambri ve mobilya endüstrisinde de değerlendirilebileceği teyit edildi.

Some technological properties of pedunculate oak wood grown in Hatay-Dörtyol region

Abstract

The main aim of this article is to determine some mechanical properties of pedunculate oak that is naturally grown in Dörtyol (Hatay) region and to research the relationship between these properties and the regional soil characteristics. As a result of the mechanical tests results made on the material obtained from the sample areas in the specific region, it was confirmed that compressive strength parallel to grain was 60.2 N/mm2, static bending strength was 100.7 N/mm2, modulus of elasticity was 9939.8 N/mm2, dynamic bending strength was 1.4 kgm/cm2, shear strength was 16.6 N/mm2, tensile strength parallel to grain 97.7 N/mm2, tensile strength perpendicular to the fibers was 6.6 N/mm2, janka hardness (parallel to fibers) was 98.9 N/mm2 and janka hardness (perpendicular to fibers) was 79.7 N/mm2. Regression analysis showed that density and strenghts have a positive and strongly increasing relationship, while soil analysis showed that the habitat is quiet appropriate for pedunculate oak. With the contribution of the statical and dynamic quality values calculated together with the obtained outputs within the study, it was confirmed that pedunculate oak wood can be utilized as lumber, carpentry, flooring, paneling and furniture industry together with the other areas of usage in forest product industry.
