The Turkish Journal of Public Health (Turk J Public Health) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal serving a broad audience in the field of public health. The journal publishes research, analysis, and policy-relevant work across a wide range of topics, including health policy, epidemiology, occupational and environmental health, social determinants of health, gender, health economics, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Turk J Public Health accepts manuscripts only in English and publishes various article types, including original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, reports, letters to the editor, and technical briefs.
To enhance the timeliness and accessibility of scientific communication, the journal has updated its publication policy. As of January 2026, Turk J Public Health continues publication on the DergiPark platform using the Continuous Publication Model. Under this model, articles are published online immediately after completion of peer review and editorial processes, without waiting for a scheduled issue. Articles are typically published within days of acceptance, receive a permanent DOI upon publication, and become instantly searchable in academic indexes, increasing their visibility and citation potential.
The journal operates under a fully open-access model and does not charge any fees to authors or readers. It adheres to the principles and recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Turk J Public Health is owned by the Halk Sağlığı Uzmanları Derneği (Association of Public Health Specialists), Türkiye.
